The 13th Five-Year National Key research and Development Plan "New methods of Green Design for urban residential buildings in Northern China" project work conference was held in Green Construction Institute

On December 9, 2016, the "13th Five-Year Plan" national key research and development program "New methods for Green Design of urban residential buildings in Northern China" was held at the Tianjin Eco-City Green Building Research Institute. The meeting was attended by dozens of representatives from Tsinghua University, Beijing University of Technology, Vitto Design, Tianjin Housing Construction Group Co., LTD., and Tianjin Eco-City Green Building Research Institute.

This project aims at the collaborative optimization of new methods and technologies for the green design of urban residential buildings in northern China. It analyzes the influence mechanism and objectives of green design on the climate, residence, technology and usage characteristics of northern China (cold and cold climate zones), and establishes a database of the basic information, color design and energy usage characteristics of existing residential green buildings in northern China. To innovate and establish design methods and processes based on goals and effects, integrate application and collaboration, realize interactive optimization of design tools and develop software tools to aid decision making. Through the research and discussion of this meeting, the specific content of the research topic has been basically determined, and the principles of the selection of demonstration projects have played a significant role in promoting the research work at this stage.
