Professor Kaufmann from the German passive House Research Institute visited our hospital for guidance

On November 2, 2015, Professor Kaufmann, Executive director of the German Passive House Research Institute, and his delegation visited our hospital and conducted in-depth exchanges.

The Green Construction Institute introduced to Professor Kaufman the exploration and practice of green buildings in Tianjin Eco-City, and the idea of cooperating in research and consulting work in the next step. Professor Kaufman highly affirmed the achievements of the eco-city in the field of green building, and praised the formation of the whole process review and evaluation model, the study of energy consumption quota and the exploration of appropriate technology. The German passive House Institute and the Green Building Institute exchanged views on cooperation in the field of passive house exchange training, project review and certification, and reached a preliminary agreement. The two sides will jointly promote the construction of eco-city passive housing projects, and form localized planning, technical systems and other achievements.

The Passive House Institute (PHI), an independent research institute founded by the world-renowned physicist Dr. Wolfgang Feist, known as the "Father of passive", has played a particularly key role in the development of the passive house/passive building concept. Since then, the Passive House Institute has been leading the research and development of ultra-efficient and energy efficient building structural concepts, building components, planning tools and quality assurance.
